I’m super excited to be going to US, CAN’T BELIEVE AM GOING!! This is the opportunity of a life time and I think I’m only going to believe that I’m actually leaving when I arrive at the airport because this is still shocking me and I’ve had this news for a few months now you’d think the excitement would die down but it only seems to be growing day by day. I’m looking forward to having a good time and also learning how things work on the other side of the world.
In my preparations for the tour I’ve so far read one book called We wish to inform you that tomorrow we will be killed with our families by Philip Gouvretch. Yes I know odd title but the book is as intense as its title but it’s very educative and enlightening and it’s just a page turner I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to fully understand what happened in Rwanda in the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi , it has perfect research and it just makes you want to read on.
I’m currently reading The rhetoric of Genocide: Death as a text by Ben Voth, with the little that I’ve read so far it seems to be a very interesting book, I feel like I could become a professor now because all this knowledge I’m gaining but I can’t wait to reach the US and share my story and also thousands of others here in Rwanda, I think this will definitely be an experience of a life time and I can’t wait to well…experience it.
