This year, iDebate Rwanda will participate for the first time in the World Schools Debating Championships (WSDC), a global competition for high school debaters. WSDC 2016 will take place in Stuttgart-Germany from 19th – 29th July 2016 .
The Championships take place each year in a different country, hosted by a national debating body where it brings together participants from around the world to compete in a short,intensive debating event.

Team Leader and coach
Emma MUGISHA is a Winning and highly skilled debate specialist with 7 years of experience in the field of internal/ external communication and marketing. What distinguishes him from others in his field of experience is that he treats debate as entertainment. Emma has a special interest in debate and he believes the road to success is conceiving in mind and keeping on trying. Based in Kigali, Airport road, He is determined to uncover the secrets of how a nation can succeed and develop through cultivating a new culture of debate. He encourages debates about things that matters in his society. He is completing his bachelors in Business, Information, communication and technology at Mount Kenya University, Kigali Campus.
Mutoni Divine Kitoko is a young Rwandan aspiring leader. She is currently the head of judges at iDebate Rwanda. She supports in organizing monthly competitions, liaising with schools/ students trainers and judges. Divine started debate in 2012 during her fifth year of secondary school.
Divine is currently pursuing her Bachelors of International Relations at Kigali Independent University.From 2012 to 2014, she served as the head of Peace and Love Proclaimers (PLP) club at King David Academy, where she was responsible for providing administrative support to other departments, and coordinating the club’s activities within the school. One year later she worked with Walk to Remember, as member of the mobilization and media team to assist the local coordination of Walk to Remember 2015.
Divine is passionate about what she does and she hopes that with her studies and her love for debate she will be able to continue to grow in leadership and knowledge, and interact with team members and colleagues across cultures and audiences
Kassy IREBE RUDAHUNGA is a 15 years old young lady and currently pursuing her studies at Green Hills Academy, where she is in her 11th grade. Her hobbies are reading, singing, writing and debating. She has also attended several debate competitions and was also a member of the 2014 US tour team where they debated with more than 20 best debate teams at various US universities.She loves trying out new activities and riding her bike whenever she can. She loves music and simply cannot do without it.
Ivan is a seventeen year old student currently studying at Lycee De Kigali and majoring in History Economics and Geography. He has been debating for three years and has done so at both national and regional levels. Ivan enjoys writing and when he has the time, basketball. He hopes to pursue a career in international economics.
MANZI Bryan is a 16 years old young Rwandan, he is currently in his 11th grade at Green Hills Academy in Kigali. He started debating when he was 13 years old.Bryan has attended several debate competitions at the national, regional and international levels. He also was a member of the 2014 US tour team where they debated against more than 20 of the best universities around the United states.He want to become a biochemical
engineer and possibly a politician.
